Hi all,
If Mike is struggling to find somewhere to stay over Christmas can we not just give him the remaining money? (I thought that was what this thread was for anyway).
I am away with the family from the 22nd but may be able to help out on Saturday.
Gavros, can you not send Mike the remaining money?
Be easily able to afford a b&b for the next 10 nights on it - not ideal but a simple solution?

You can get caravan rentals cheaply this time of year, some give better rates for longer term occupancy. You get loads of tradesmen who travel around to get work staying in them.
He can also have his kids come to stay that way, assuming he is allowed access to them.

Hostels, though not ideal, are cheap as fuck. Can get a bed for £15 a night and they have cooking facilities etc

I am looking for a room in a houseshare as we speak. I should think there is enough in the fund to cover the deposit and 1st month and then hopefully Mike will have got himself a job.
B&Bs tend to be expensive and he still has to get meals for himself which would mean take aways as he would have nothing to cook on.
The houseshare is the best option. I feel guilty as hell but we have family coming until into the new year and we just don't have the room
